What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Cruel action by Palin against wolves in order to please wolf hunters.

Did you look at "Sarah Palin is Evil?" Pictures of her all tramped out in garter belt and bikinis. I understand why she is so religious.

Sometimes wolves over- run the country side and need to be thinned out. Perhaps we will hear more about the context for these hunts.

Avid hunters and native Alaskans perhaps view this topic in a very different light.

Most Alaskans are proud that we have large and healthy wolf populations, and many recognize that we have a special responsibility to manage wolves to ensure their continued abundance. Wolves do have an impact on moose and caribou populations, and this impact, in combination with factors such as severe winter weather or bear predation, can depress moose and caribou populations to very low levels leaving little harvestable surplus for humans.

Man has the ability to influence this system by reducing wolf populations and allowing ungulate populations to recover from depressed levels. The controversy centers on whether — or when and how — it is appropriate for man to decrease wolf numbers to increase ungulate harvests.

The video is on cruelity to wolves and other animals using airplanes, supported by Palin. That's a triple whammy - animal cruelty, a wasteful use of fuel and adds to global warming.

And it doesn't strike me as terribly sporting. Or Christian, or Family Values, etc. Why is this story --among so many -- not being picked up by MSM. I just can't see Sandy Soccer-Mom defending Sarah to her kids and cohorts in the face of this evidence.

Of the ad -- I think the images can speak for themselves without the over-wraught narration. Anti-hunting groups can never resist that trap. (Much as "pro-life" advocates can't resist the extreme rhetoric that ends far more dialogues than it starts.)
